Peace Vine Wall Art & Hand-Embroidered Pillows from Hands of the World

Hands of the World, in the Pike Place Market, specializes in hand-selected jewelry, folk art and accessories from the world. They've donated fair trade works of art. The peace vine is cut from recycled oil drums, created through the fold art of Haitian artisans, a shining example of making art with what is available. The two pillows are beautiful, fair trade, handmade embroidered red pillow covers from Guatemala. Sure to brighten any home!

Oil Painting by Renowned Artist Michael Hoffman

Exploring little more than the lush properties of oil paint and color, this painting from the collection of recent abstract paintings by local painter Hoffman reaffirms the more fundamental joys of the beautiful. Taking cues from the natural landscape — particularly the Northern Pacific coastline near Seattle — this medium-scale work vacillates between intimate immediacy and cool, patterned abstraction.
